Rev. Dr. Neal O. Hively
Senior Pastor

Rev'd Dr. Neal Otto Hively was called in July 1994 as the tenth pastor of Trinity since its founding in 1891. Pastor Hively was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and is a Ministerial son of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport. He is happily married (he says!) to Lee Codd, since 1975; they have two children: Christopher Stephen and Beth Ellen. (More about Pastor Hively)

Rev. Tara L. Magoon
Associate Pastor

The Rev'd Tara Louise Magoon was called in January 2005 as part of the Trinity’s pastoral ministry team. She was ordained in 2000 by the Virginia Synod ELCA. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Newark, DE, and is a ministerial daughter of Hope Lutheran Church in New Castle, DE. She is married to Jeremy and has a son, David, and three cats.  She is a graduate of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC.

In her free time, Pastor Magoon likes to play with David, read, do crafts, and spend time with friends and family. And work on her new pastime as a Thirty-One gifts independent consultant.  (To her site)

Doug Price
Associate in Ministry
Doug was called to Trinity in February 2014 and commissioned as an Associate in Ministry (AIM) in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in March 2014.  He is a Franklin County native but lived in Nebraska and Colorado for 19 years before returning to Franklin County in 1995.  Doug holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Temple University and studied at Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary.  As part of his call to Trinity, Doug also serves the community as the Manager of the Cumberland Link to Aging and Disability Resources.  He is married to Lydia and they have three adult children.

Sharon McCall  (on right)
Director of Christian Education

Sharon was called in April 2001 as Trinity's Director of Christian Education.  She was a 2001 graduate of the Youth Certification School at Gettysburg Seminary in Gettysburg, PA.  A 1998 graduate of Wilson College through the TIP Program with a Bachelors Degree in Education.  A 1992 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors Degree in Dairy and Animal Science.  

In her free time, Sharon likes to spend time with friends and family, play softball, play fantasy football, watch movies at the Drive-In, listen to music, go to craft shows, and crochet.

Robert Eyer, Jr.
Director of Music

Mr. Robert Eyer, Jr. has served as Trinity's Director of Music and organist since 1977, over 30 years. He is widely known in Pennsylvania and Maryland as an organist of exemplary quality, gifted in music selection and performance. He is further known as a talented church liturgical organist: music is crisp, well executed and thoroughly prepared each week. He employs Trinity's 39 rank Moller pipe organ to its fullest potential. His pedal work is a sight to behold (or if one cannot see, listen to)!  He holds a B.S. in Education and a M.A. in Organ Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Renowned in the Chambersburg and wider Franklin County area as "the" concert organist on Chambersburg's Capital Theatre Pipe Organ! Mr. Eyer is the keyboard artist on a compact disc recording on the Capitol Theatre Organ, "Puttin' on the Pipes."

MaryBeth Knepper
Church Secretary

MaryBeth has served as secretary for 10 years at Trinity.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, helping in her church youth group and children's department.

Joan Brown

Joan has served at Trinity as sexton for 20 years.  In her spare time she enjoys crocheting, watching soaps, and reading.  She puts up a beautiful Christmas village during the holiday.

Robert Kitzmiller
Financial Secretary

Bob has served as Financial Secretary since 1991 at Trinity.  He is married to his lovely wife Frances and they have four children and eleven grandchildren.  In his spare time he enjoys traveling, babysitting grandchildren, and serving his church. 

Dennis Alleman


Denny has served as treasurer for 10 years at Trinity.  Outside of the congregation he works at Visual Aids Electronics Corp.  He is married to Marie and they have two children, Jeaneen and John.   In his spare time he enjoys participating in Lions Club and going hunting.
