Especially
for Guests...
at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chambersburg, PA
An
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation:
"a church so deeply and
confidently rooted in the Gospel of God's grace,
that we are free to give our lives joyfully in witness and service."
WELCOME IN THE
NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
Trinity expects worship guests and makes deliberate efforts to anticipate and respond to your needs, questions and concerns, especially on your first visit.
WHAT GUESTS CAN EXPECT:
During the time of opening worship
announcements, one of the pastors will bring greetings in Christian hospitality.
Trinity has "Welcome Pads" positioned in every seating area for our honored
guests (and members) to their visit information (and personal concerns). Please help us by filling out a
visitor card, or sign the Guest Register in the Narthex of the church, that we
might properly acknowledge your worship with us.
PRAYERS FOR YOU! We've been praying for you and for this day in your life. For those who are our guests today we firmly believe that it not by some accident or coincidence. Our Heavenly Father has brought you here this day and desires to work in your life. God bless you in the Worship of the Living God.
REST
ROOMS are located through
the left-front chancel exit, then right at the Sunday School wing hallway. Rest
rooms are on the right-hand side.
STAFFED NURSERY SERVICE
is available for children up to school age during both worship services in Room
107, next to the lounge.
WE
LOVE CHILDREN!
Children's bulletins are
available each week from the ushers, for both readers and non-readers. We offer a weekly "Children's Message"
during the regular church service - a time for the children to come forward to
the chancel area for an illustrated message. Generally, children from ages three
to fifth grade participate.
LITURGICAL WORSHIP AND MUSIC
are a rich heritage at Trinity. The worship service settings are found in the
front portion of your hymnal. The hymns are in the second section with hymn
numbers boldly printed at the top of each page. Trinity now employs The Lutheran
Book of Worship and the With One Voice Hymnal supplement.
OFFERING ENVELOPES
are available in the pew racks or
from an usher for your convenience. Contributions support Trinity's Gospel,
service and Christian outreach ministries.
HOLY
COMMUNION is celebrated weekly,
alternating between the early and late Sunday worship services. Baptized
Christians who commune in their home congregations, who believe the True Body
and Blood of Christ is present in the Sacrament, are invited to share of the
Eucharist. Communicants proceed forward by way of the center aisle, to kneel or
stand at the Communion rail. Reception is by way of bread and pre-filled cups,
using wine. Return to your seats by way of the side aisles. Please assist us by
completing a Communion card and placing it in the offering. Children who do not
yet commune come forward for a blessing by the pastor.
HEALTH ISSUES: Trinity provides quantities of anti-bacterial hand wash at all our worship entrances and immediately prior to Holy Communion for those who care to use them.
TRINITY'S SANCTUARY AND CHAPEL are seasonally heated or air-conditioned for your health and convenience.
LARGE PRINT BULLETINS, "Today's Lesson" inserts, and enlarged hymns are available from the ushers.
EDUCATIONAL MINISTRY CLASSES are available for all ages and school grades on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. Five adult classes meet weekly.
PARKING is available in the five designated church lots, or one short block north up the alley at Henninger ball field. Please, when loading / unloading passengers at walkways, pull all the way into the church lot so to keep Philadelphia Avenue clear for moving traffic. In the event that you might receive a Borough Traffic Ticket for improper on-street parking, please give it to us and we will gladly pay the fine. See Directions and Parking Link.
TRINITY IS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE with a ramp way on the south-side, into the church and Christian Education building. An elevator brings access to the basement and second floor areas.
MEMBERSHIP INQUIRIES are encouraged and welcome! Please see the pastors or contact the church office at your convenience. YOUR COMMENTS and suggestions are welcome.
